Who we are

TripTide is operated by Good Tides AS, Norwegian organisation number 937 657 722. Good Tides AS is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Information we use

Depending on how you use TripTide, we may process:

  • trip requests, dates, destinations, interests, budgets, and other preferences you choose to provide;
  • your name, email address, and profile image when you sign in;
  • saved plans and changes you make to them;
  • technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service; and
  • messages you send when contacting us for support or partnerships.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information that is not needed to plan your trip.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and refine trip plans, provide accounts and saved trips, answer support requests, maintain security, and improve the reliability of TripTide.

Our legal basis is normally providing the service you request, our legitimate interest in operating and improving it, or consent where consent is required.

Service providers and external links

We use service providers to operate TripTide, including Supabase for account and data services and OpenAI for AI-assisted planning. Relevant trip context may be sent to these providers to produce and store your plan.

TripTide may link to activity operators or booking platforms. When you leave TripTide, that provider processes your information under its own privacy terms. TripTide does not currently collect payment card details.

Some providers may process information outside Norway or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected through recognised legal safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect TripTide. Saved trips remain connected to your account until deleted or until the account is closed, subject to necessary backups and legal retention.

Your rights

Under applicable privacy law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to certain processing. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
